This assembly will automatically discharge an accumulator through a 0.125 inch orifice whenever the pump is shut off. Whenever the pump is started, the pilot-to-close check valve closes, blocking the discharge path back to tank. The standard check valve prevents oil in the accumulator from back-flowing through the pump.

    • The pilot-to-close nominal pilot ratio is 1.8:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) at the pilot port will close a valve against a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1. Any decay or loss of pilot pressure could allow the valve to open, even if it is a momentary decay or loss.

    • Why doesn't Sun anodize their aluminum bodies?
    • How big is a drop of hydraulic oil?
    • Direct acting or pilot operated - what do I use?
    • Important: Carefully consider the maximum system pressure. The pressure rating of the manifold is dependent on the manifold material, with the port type/size a secondary consideration. Manifolds constructed of aluminum are not rated for pressures higher than 3000 psi (210 bar), regardless of the port type/size specified.
