This assembly provides 2 functions. It relieves pressure from (port 1) to tank (port 2) when pressure at port 1 exceeds the setting of the valve. The external port 3 allows the valve to be vented by an external 2-way, 2-postion valve allowing the valve to drop the pressure setting to a minimal level. The external valve could be either normally open meaning the pressure is at a low level until the valve is closed or normally closed meaning the pressure is at high level until the valve is open. The check valve allows reverse flow from port 2 to port 1.

    • Not suitable for use in load holding applications due to spool leakage.
    • Back pressure on the tank port (port 2) is directly additive to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.

    • Important: Carefully consider the maximum system pressure. The pressure rating of the manifold is dependent on the manifold material, with the port type/size a secondary consideration. Manifolds constructed of aluminum are not rated for pressures higher than 3000 psi (210 bar), regardless of the port type/size specified.
